Pat Cummins on Wednesday night exploded with the bat which also couldn’t keep Andre Russell quiet.
Cummins, who smashed a 15-ball unbeaten 56, helped his side Kolkata Knight Riders to clinch the game by five wickets with four overs to spare.
Cummins played a remarkable role with the bat as Venkatesh Iyer was equally up to the task to slam a fine half-century.
Russell had performed a victory dance for Cummins which subsequently left everyone in splits.

“I probably think I’m most surprised by that innings. I’m glad that it came off. I was thinking of having a swing if it was in my area. Wasn’t trying to overthink it. Very satisfying to do it on my first game this season,” Pat Cummins said after being awarded the Player of the Match.
“Was just trying to pepper the shorter boundary. The hard thing after a big auction is that there are a lot of changes from last year. It’s a good mix of talent out there and quite relaxed with the boys,” he added.
