Last night’s excallrating Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 encounter between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings, which was decided on the last ball as GT needed 12 off two balls, and Rahul Tewatia (13) emerged hero as he fittingly smashed sixes on both the deliveries to take his team to a dramatic win at the Brabourne Stadium.
That thrilling game also captured the attention of the former England skipper and a well-known commentator, Michael Vaughan, as he believes that no other tournament provides the drama and finishes as the IPL does.
“No tournament gets close to the drama & finishes the #IPL brings … That was ridiculous … #Tewatia,” he tweeted.

GT, who needed 190 runs to win, were helped by the blistering 59-ball 96 knock from Shubman Gill, but Kings’ bowlers did manage to keep their team in the hunt.
It all went down to the last two balls when two sixes were required, Tewatia kept his cool under pressure and made the win possible as GT players came running into the ground in excitement.
